LINE SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Responsible for a safe, compliant and efficient Fixed Base Operations (FBO) operation for aircraft fueling, ground handling, facilities and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a high level of customer service.
Complete Airport FBO training programs.
Perform all aircraft refueling operations per FAA requirements.
Assist in the operations and maintenance of all bulk fuel storage systems.
Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of mobile fueling equipment.
Perform daily fuel quality testing and record results.
Assist in bulk fuel storage and associated product inventories.
Maintain daily record keeping as assigned.
Maintain cleanliness and light-duty maintenance of all aircraft parking and tie-down areas.
Assist in preventative maintenance, cleanliness and proper storage of all aircraft and FBO ground support equipment.
Perform minor janitorial and maintenance of the Airport Terminal and all associated facilities utilized by the FBO operations.
Perform cleaning of the Airport's courtesy cars.
Assist with the daily functions of the customer service counter.
Wear the Airport supplied uniform and maintain a crisp and clean looking appearance at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
General aircraft and aircraft servicing techniques preferred.
Aircraft fueling and ground handling techniques preferred.
Petroleum bulk fuel storage equipment and systems preferred.
FBO operations preferred.
Aircraft operation and procedures preferred.
Aviation and ground base radio systems preferred.
Military aviation fuels / petroleum operations highly preferred.
Large truck and heavy-duty equipment operation preferred.
Two-way radio communications and techniques preferred.
Work unsupervised and independently.
Operate all types of equipment associated with aircraft refueling operations and airport maintenance programs preferred.
High school education or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license required; restricted licenses are NOT acceptable.
FBO line service experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS:
Will require on-call status on occasion.
Rotating shifts, weekends and holidays required on a semi-annual basis.
Some overtime as assigned.
All weather conditions.
Ability to lift heavy objects, expected during daily job function.
